Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, the methadone counselor is responsible for the initial admission interview to include the collection and processing of all data regarding a potential admission, the completion of all forms, releases and referrals, and the orientation of all clients to the jail methadone program. The counselor will assemble the client chart, enter computer data, schedule appointments accordingly, interact with various referral sources, obtain jail medical records/UDS and orient the client to the rules and regulations of the jail methadone program. The counselor is responsible for the treatment of those clients assigned to their caseload, providing all necessary services, and referral services. In addition, the methadone counselor is maintaining charts on his/her caseload.
This position is located in Mays Landing, Atlantic County Jail. Salary 48,000-53,000 based on education, credentials and experience.
