1.Responsible for direct supervision of MAT Counselors, including weekly staff meetings, ensuring grant compliance and monitoring documentation and record keeping.

2.Trains and provides an orientation process for all new employees of Medication Assistance Treatment Unit (MAT).

3.Communicates with Exec. Dir. of OP Services regarding all activities on a daily basis and submits a monthly operating report to the Director.

4.Submits a monthly operating report to the Exec. Dir. of OP Services, on fee for service funding captured versus loss; counselor IDP plans and multidisciplinary team meetings.

5.Assist Director with hiring process of clinical staff and takes primary responsibility for staff development.

6.Provides in-service training for department as well as agency at large.

7.Conducts annual review of department's policies and procedures and recommends updates to the same.

8.Assures that MAT staff adhere to minimum record keeping standards according to State outpatient regulations, i.e., TX plans and reviews are completed in required timeframe. 

9.Monitors documentation and record keeping to ensure compliance with state, federal and HIPAA regulations

10.Assures that staff members are actively working on securing credentials.

11.Ensures Outpatient Clinical Services are provided within established policies and procedures.

12.Completes staff performance evaluations in a timely manner, i.e., Counselor s annually and Counselor interns every six months..

13.Chairs weekly staff meetings and maintains accurate minutes..

14.Maintains CARF standards within department.

15.Assures that program census is maintained at a minimum of 95% of capacity.

MAT Counselors/Counselor Interns


LCADC and 3 yrs experience in the field of addiction

One to five years management experience in a clinical setting

Three to five years experience in HIV, Methadone and addiction counseling, admitting or related field with emphasis on assessment and treatment planning.  Broad based clinical experience and familiarity with the functions of a substance abuse treatment facility
