- Responsible
for providing coverage for all units and facilities, monitoring client
safety and activities to ensure that clients adhere to program rules and
regulations.
- Responsible
for conducting client head counts throughout of the shift
- Monitor
and assist clinical team in client treatment activities as needed
- Responsible
for client Check-in forms, Discharge forms, Inventory forms, Room
reassignments and Personal Property Check list and effectively document
all information
- Monitors
all client behavior as needed, de-escalating potentially violent
situations, resolving conflicts and communicating pertinent information to
the RN or LPN
- Responsible
for maintaining client confidentiality in accordance with State, Federal
and HIPPA regulations and JBRC Policy and Procedures.
- Attends
and participates in all required meetings and trainings
- Responsible
for responding to JBRC emergencies and making appropriate contacts
- Responsible
for notifying referral agencies (identified contacts) in case of resident
abscond.
- Responsible
for escorting clients to and from approved appointments outside of
facility and bringing appropriate paperwork back to JBRC.
- Assure
client adhere to daily schedule and required groups or individual
counseling sessions.
- Responsible
for being punctual and reporting for work when scheduled to include meal
break reliefs
- Responsible
for the cleaning of common lounge areas on detox and client rooms as
needed on discharge or in all bodily fluid accidents. Responsible to use
cleaning products according to OSHA and JBRC protocols
- Must
attend a minimum of 6 staff meetings per calendar year
- Performs
other related duties as assigned by the ADON, RN or LPN or other
management as required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Capable
of lifting approximately 10 to 20 lbs
- Walking,
the ability to move around on foot to accomplish tasks or frequent monitoring
of clients in detox or residential setting
- Ability
to climb multiple flights of stairs
- Ability
to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability
to communicate both orally and written in a calm and respectful manner.
This requires skills to write accurate documentation regarding the safety
and client incidents via reports, e-mail and electronic medical records
- Must
be able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner. Ability
to establish and maintain a positive, professional and cooperative working

- Must
have active listening skills. Demonstrate the ability to interact with
clients in an appropriate therapeutic manner. Ability to be respectful of

- Must
be able to work in a fast-paced environment when supervising and
monitoring clients in outpatient and residential. Ability to recognize the
elements of a client crisis and act accordingly to de-escalate a situation
- Knowledge
in procedures necessary to oversee the safety of clients and staff in all
JBRC facilities.
