JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Responsible for providing coverage for all outpatient facilities, monitoring client safety and movement to ensure that clients adhere to program rules and regulations.

2.Responsible for opening up the facility in the morning and locking up in the afternoon

3.Monitor dosing line in the methadone clinic and assist clinical team in client movement to and from appointments when needed

4.Responsible for monitoring client traffic inside the facility

5.Patrolling inside and outside of the facility for any illegal or potentially harmful activity

6.Perform breathalyzer on clients when requested by the medical or clinical team

7.Monitors all client behavior as needed, de-escalating potentially violent situations, resolving conflicts and forwarding pertinent information to the supervisor

8.Responsible for maintaining client confidentiality in accordance with State, Federal and HIPPA regulations and JBRC Policy and Procedures.

9.Attends and participates in all required meetings and trainings

10.Responsible for responding to JBRC emergencies and making appropriate referrals

11.Responsible for being punctual and reporting for work when scheduled to include meal break reliefs and other schedules as needed.

12.Performs other related duties as assigned by Safety and Security Supervisor and other management as required.

13.Removing the dosing and dosing nurse's trash from the clinic.

14.Ability to maintain professional and ethical boundaries and be a team player.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

1.Capable of lifting approximately 10 to 20 lbs.

2.Walking, the ability to move around on foot to accomplish task

3.Ability to stand for extended periods of time

4.Ability to communicate both orally and written

5.Must be able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner

6.Must have active listening skills

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

1.When conducting breathalyzer safety aides will be supplied with latex gloves

2.Program Aides have the option to wear protective body coverage

WORK ENVIRONMENT

1.Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment when supervising and monitoring clients in an outpatient setting.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1.Knowledge in procedures necessary to oversee the safety of clients, visitors and staff in all JBRC outpatient facilities.

2. Demonstrate the ability to interact with clients in an appropriate therapeutic manner

3.Ability to write accurate documentation regarding client and staff incidents

4.Ability to recognize the elements of a client crisis

5.Ability to establish and maintain a positive and cooperative working relationship with all employees

6.Ability to deliver service in a way that is responsive, respectful, caring and helpful while maintaining confidentiality, ethical and professional boundaries.

7.Ability to demonstrate responsiveness and flexibility as client?s needs & priorities shift.

8.Ability to be respectful of diverse cultures, ethnic and religious backgrounds as well as alternative lifestyles.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Basic Computer knowledge & writing skills

Valid NJ Driver's License preferred
